The I-278/Staten Island Expressway HOV/bus lane extension is now open, creating a continuous HOV/bus lane between the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge and Victory Blvd. Regulations: 3+ occupants; in effect 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week.
Interstate 84 over the Delaware & Neversink rivers in Orange Co., NY, and Pike Co., PA., I-84 is reduced to one lane in each direction between Exit 2 in the Town of Deerpark in NY and Exit 53 in Pennsylvania.
Three NB travel lanes on the Major Deegan Expressway have been reduced to two travel lanes from Exit 3 (East 138th Street/Grand Concourse) to beyond Exit 5 (161st Street/Macombs Dam Bridge) and the Macombs Dam Bridge. Reconstruction resumes on the NB and SB Hylan Boulevard Bridges, which span the Staten Island Expressway between EB Narrows Road South and WB Narrows Road North. Seek alternate routes. One lane of traffic will be open to motorists in each direction on the bridges through the project. Pedestrian access will remain. Preliminary deck repairs on the right half of both bridges begins July 7th and lasts through July 10th. Closure of the left half of each bridge begins July 13th and lasts through early 2017.
If you are driving on or near the Scajaquada Expressway, Route 198 corridor in the City of Buffalo, please be advised that effective immediately, a new speed limit of 30 miles per hour has been established for the area.

Through the Broome-Tioga ridematching system, users will be able to find carpool matches and get customized information for their commute when taking public transit, vanpooling or bicycling.

With more than 75% of Long Islanders driving alone for their commute, the Melville Chamber’s customized ridematching system makes ridesharing easy by offering free ridematching services and customized information on public transportation, vanpools and bicycling options.
